I love wedding, any weddings. It is the one occasion that unites almost everyone in my opinion. Simply because when I see the groom and the bride, who can tell me that they don’t have that happy smiles on their faces? and in that moment nothing will bother or distract me. So yeah, to me, wedding, the venue, the music, the gorgeous wedding gown are the moments to enjoy.
I heard and still hearing many people telling me that Taylor Swift’s wedding choice is questionable? Well, if I were her, I would not have picked a stadium as my venue but that’s not the biggest issue for me. The wedding guests including all celebrities and famous people in the entertainment industry is not the biggest issue to me neither. I have come across many different cultures that have invited thousands of people to a wedding (not just friends and relatives but people that they are relatives or friends to another close relative that they know, etc, you get the idea). So when Taylor Swift invited so many people that are not close to her to her wedding, it’s not a shock to me. I understand and it’s not a problem to me as many have voiced.
However, the biggest issue to me is probably the lack of her wedding gown whether be seen on the way to the venue or released not long after the wedding. The fact that we haven’t seen any photo (no need to be in full, a fragment is good enough) leaves me little sour taste. I will tell you my reason.
- The wedding gown is the most important part of any wedding because everyone has different taste. Taylor Swift is a billionaire so she can afford anything anywhere. We were happy that Taylor got married but at the same time we would love to see her in the wedding gown just to complete the buzz. All the set up to seal off the cameras of who was in and who was out without a glimpse of the bride was such a turn off. For all the buzz in the world, no glimpse of the bride is disappointing.
- Taylor Swift has a lot of fans. She has spent lots of money on renting a stadium in a busy New York City which means she would like to create talks, right? If she had decided to roll down the window on the way to the venue just to say hello and appreciation to people lining up the street waiting for her, it would have completed the fairy-tale wedding. Look at the Royal wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles or Prince Williams and Kate Middleton, everyone could see the bride in full view. Not just royal, even many other celebrities, sport people share their happiness with the world. Taylor Swift might want to keep her secrets for a while, but to me, this is too long. As a fan and not a fan, I feel disappointed. By the time she releases the wedding photo, I have lost interest already and probably will go like “that’s nice” and that’s it. It’s just another story telling the tales of yesterday. All the excitement and magic of the wedding day has gone. It’s just another story that frankly, I don’t care anymore. Maybe I am the only one or maybe not.
